Hardware :- All the electronic components and physical components which can be seen and touch is called Hardware.
Example : keyboard, monitor, mouse and the system units. Additional Computer software and hardware components can be added to your system are the modem, printer, scanner, etc.
Software :- A set of program which run in the computers and can not be seen and touch this is called software.
Computer software and hardware set of commands ( instructions) which are arranged logically to perform a specific task is called software.
types of computer software and hardware :-
• The Computer software and hardware set may be classified in to Two type of software.
• System software
• Application software
• System software :- A software set of programme which runs and control is called system software. The most important system software in computer the operating system (OS) . Some program., languages and documentation supplied by the manufacturer with the computer.
Through this computer software user can develop his own software.
Application software :- It is a program which fulfills a desired Computer software definition and application software a user and these are the program employed by the user to per form specific task.
Example : games, tally (accounting package), DTP, word processor, paint programs etc....
